Beavers

Fun and friendship are the cornerstones of the Beaver program. Through an adventurous program of outdoor activities, creative play, music, and cooperative games, Beavers enjoy time with their friends (and meet new ones), learn how to get along within a group, and develop the confidence to be themselves.

Beavers share many outdoor adventures with their friends in the colony. Nature walks, short hikes, tree plantings and family sleepovers give Beavers a taste of outdoor fun. Through these activities, Beavers develop an appreciation and a sense of caring for the environment.

Beavers are a vital part of the community, country and world in which they live. Visits to parks, power plants, fire and police stations thrill young Beavers and illustrate the many important facets of their community.

How to Fold a Rabbit Wash Cloth

Turn that ordinary face cloth into a bouncing bunny. When made up, this cloth bunny can fit into a baby gift basket, an Easter basket or simply be given to a reluctant bather to encourage some bath time fun. It also has a nifty secret purpose––you can slip ice cubes inside bunny to ease those bumps and scrapes every young child is prone to.

Steps:

1. Fold the washcloth in half to form a triangle. The washcloth must be
square or squared off.

2. Roll the washcloth from the right angle corner to the long opposite
side.

3. Fold the rolled washcloth in half.

4. Fold the washcloth in half again. Fold the loose ends back towards
fold to start the ears.

5. Place the rubber-band around the washcloth 2 inches (5 cm) from the
fold. Cover the rubber-band with ribbon.

6. Finished Bunny
